On 21st November 2019, Claridge’s launched it’s much anticipated annual Christmas Tree, which has been designed by legendary designer Christian Louboutin. The spectacular creation is positioned in the hotel lobby of the iconic Mayfair hotel, symbolising the commencement of the festive season and draws visitors and Londoners alike to admire the magnificent designs. This year it marks the 10th anniversary of Claridge’s collaborations with one of its distinguished guests to design their tree in the guest’s own distinctive and creative style.
To mark this anniversary, the tree is also accompanied by The Loubi Express. The Loubi Express offers guests an additional immersive dining element within an intimate dining carriage, dressed head to toe in the signature Louboutin red. Complete with four tables, The Loubi Express offers guests a selection of the hotel's most loved bar snacks including the legendary Lobster Wellington, Prawn Tempura and the Truffle gougères, as well as a fine selection of champagnes and cocktails.
Claridge’s embodies grand English style, timeless glamour and impeccable, intuitive and highly tailored service throughout the hotel. It is London’s ultimate art deco jewel and is home to elegant rooms and suites. Moreover, the hotel is immensely renowned for having one of London’s finest afternoon teas and a wide collection of vintage champagnes.
Commenting on the collaboration Christian Louboutin said “I have been a long-time guest of Claridge’s and consider it my second home when in London. It is an honour to be invited to design the Claridge’s Christmas Tree which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Claridge’s is one of the most magical destinations with the tree being one of the city’s highlights at Christmas. I am glad to bring a little piece of Paris to such an iconic London landmark.” Christian Louboutin established his business in the heart of Paris in 1991, first with a collection of shoes for Women followed by a Men’s collection a few years later, both recognizable by the signature and iconic red lacquered sole.

The iconic Mayfair hotel has also unveiled its collection of Christmas hampers and gifts, specially sourced and created by the hotel’s long standing experts. The hampers are full of festive foodie treats all selected from the hallowed kitchens and legendary bars by Executive Chef Martyn Nail and include little luxuries you would find at the iconic hotel from the Claridge’s cook book and art deco china, to Fornasetti candles, the signature scent of Claridge’s which fills the air in the famous lobby, allowing for you to bring the tastes – and tableware – of Claridge’s home for Christmas.
