We asked the expert mixologists at two of Mayfair's leading hotels, Brown's and Claridge's to share their recipes for the perfect Platinum Jubilee cocktail. So, grab your finest shakers and give them a go in the comfort of your own home. Alternatively, take a seat in the beautiful setting of The Fumoir bar at Claridge's or kickback at the Donovan Bar at Brown's Hotel and let the experts create the perfect balance of gin, bitters and pink champagne before your very eyes.

Claridge's Windsor Rose

For the month of June, five specially created cocktails will be poured in both The Fumoir and Claridge’s Bar. The delectable drinks include the Windsor Rose, which as this original cocktail card goes to show, has come full circle. First served in 1953 to mark Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation, it is the perfect way to celebrate this unique occasion.

Ingredients:

45ml Belvedere Heritage
10ml Cointreau
10ml Crème de Cassis
15ml Antica Formula
15ml Cranberry Juice
15ml Lemon Juice
1 Egg White

Method:

Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake without ice. Add ice and shake again, then pour into a coupe, garnish with a rose petal and add a couple of drops of rose essential oils.

The Jubilee Gintini at Brown's

The Donovan Bar at Brown's Hotel is the perfect spot to mark this landmark anniversary with a specially created 'Jubilee Gintini'. This delicious martini-style cocktail is the result of a pairing between the famous hotel and royal perfumers, Floris. Topped with bubbles and served in an elegant, rounded coupette glass, it is given a floral flourish with a single rose petal and enhanced with a spritz of Floris’ Platinum 22. Furthermore, anyone who orders this special cocktail will receive a miniature bottle of this stunning perfume. 

Ingredients:

40ml Tanqueray No. Ten Gin

3 drops of Salvatore Calabrese's Special Bitter - the legendary bartender's take on Angostura Bitter

60ml Ruinart Rose Champagne

Method:

Serve in a coupette glass, garnish with dry rose petals and enjoy with a spritz of Floris Platinum 22 perfume.
