What's On: Halloween at Charbonnel et Walker, Old Bond Street

Charbonnel et Walker Food Halloween

The witching hour will soon be upon us, meaning it's time to carve the pumpkins, stock up on sweets for the trick-or-treaters and ensure you have the perfect party dress. But before you do all that, head to Charbonnel et Walker's Old Bond Street flagship for a spine-tingling selection of handmade Halloween truffles, chocolates and gift boxes.

To mark the spooky occasion on Friday 31 October, the flagship store will be festooned with autumnal decorations and giant, handcrafted jack-o-lanterns with glowing eyes, while chocolate witches’ hats and Day of the Dead lollies add a touch of magic to windows. Housed in the original space where Madame Charbonnel set up shop in 1875, the colourful display marks the start of the iconic chocolatier's 150th anniversary celebrations at the end of September.

Upon entering this whimsical Halloween wonderland, take your pick of white chocolate ghoulish ghosts and skull lollies, milk chocolate baby bats, miniature hazelnut praline chocolate pumpkins and other delectably hair-raising delights – all great for trick-or-treating fun with the kids. Alternatively, be a little devil and keep them all to yourself.
