Accessories Shopping Luxury

As new-season deliveries start to fill the racks in Bond Street’s luxury stores, getting a step ahead of the pack may prove too hard to resist. Our concise edit of the hottest bags, shoes and jewellery will have you dreaming of brighter days and glamorous nights in no time at all.

It's a Cinch!

Cast aside any associations of your toiletries bag, or, for those old enough to remember, your old school PE bag, and embrace this season’s scrunchy drawstring shapes. Whether you choose to wear them by day or by night, spring’s grab-and-go designs are decidedly soft to the touch. Prada’s Wish silk duchesse pouch, £860, is closed with a drawstring and comes in a variety of shades, including Whiskey and Petal Pink. Further slouch appeal can be found in Loewe’s Medium Flamenco clutch, £2,200. Cut from grained nubuck, it features a cinched closure and signature knot drawstrings.

Smitten Kittens

The spring/summer 26 collections are bursting with colourful footwear, with the return of the demure kitten heel a recurring theme. While some, such as Gucci, play with the classic kitten heel shape and even allow for the shoes to be worn with their backs down thanks to the Vittoria pump, £840, others stay true to form. Dior’s J’Adior rose-coloured pumps, £850, are made using technical cotton fabric, and feature a cream bow on the side. Elsewhere, Jimmy Choo’s Mimmi Sling Back 50, £825, in glossy sage green nappa leather features a perforated nappa lace corsage on its toe. For those for whom size matters, the “50” refers to the shoe’s 50mm flared kitten heel.

Statement Pendants

This season’s power pendants have a graphic edge designed to make an impact when worn over a crisp white shirt or dress. Take the large Eurydice pendant from Hermès, £620, for example. Made from lacquered horn and metal coated a dozen times with resin, this piece was crafted in Vietnam by a small group of artisans passionate about keeping the art of buffalo horn and lacquer work alive. For something equally striking, Valentino’s new Pages necklace, from £1,210, fuses metal with a dark antique brass finish and a trio of sparkling crystals in a cascading design. And with spring’s art show calendar in full swing in and around Bond Street, where better place to show off your very own wearable work of art?
