It has been announced that sketch, one of London's finest dining locations, has been awarded its third Michelin Star. The Lecture Room and Library at the iconic Mayfair dining destination is the sole new recipient of three Michelin stars this year and makes it one of five restaurants in the UK to be awarded this prestigious title.

Since opening in December 2002, sketch has attracted unprecedented attention for its creative food, drink, art and entertainment and is an icon on the London dining scene. Founded by renowned restaurateur Mourad Mazouz and menus created by the three Michelin-starred chef Pierre Gagnaire, the multi-functional dining venue is housed in a Grade-II listed building on Conduit Street that once housed the London atelier of Christian Dior.

Founder Mourad Mazouz has made sketch a true destination of experimental design, art and architecture, and opened the restaurant "to offer a little bit of happiness to every customer by bringing together food, drink, art and music under one roof."

The architecture and design of sketch is second to none. Created by leading Interior Designer Gahban O’Keeffe, the three Michelin-starred Lecture Room & Library provides guests with a spacious and relaxing atmosphere. All ‘tasting’ and ‘a la carte’ menus are devised by French Master Chef Pierre Gagnaire, (two-time winner of the coveted 3rd Michelin star accolade), offering a unique breadth of ingredients and a complexity of combinations. The extensive and acclaimed wine list has also been awarded ‘Best Award for Excellence’ by the Wine Spectator and AA Guide’s ‘Best UK Wine List’.
