Bond's Best sketch Cocktails

Stepping into sketch from the hustle and bustle of Conduit Street is akin to finding a hidden portal to a magical wonderland – namely, the Glade Bar, sketch’s on-site “drinks laboratory” with its otherworldly vibe.

Once you've feasted your eyes on all the eclectic design touches that fill the room, there's a new innovative cocktail menu designed to blow your socks off, too.

Launched earlier this spring and designed by bar director Martino Franchi and his team, the menu comprises 21 expertly crafted drinks, alongside a curated wine and champagne selection by wine director Fred Brugues.

Among the familiar favourites, several demonstrate the Glade Bar’s innovative approach to mixology. These include the smoked martini, a martini where botanicals fuse with tea and smoke, and “The Alchemy negroni”, a new take on the classic drink made with raspberry and Casamigos blanco tequila.

And then there's the refreshing gin basil smash, a modern classic, originally created in 2008 by Jörg Meyer at Le Lion Bar de Paris in Hamburg, Germany. With its striking green colour and distinctive flavour, this is a cocktail with vibrant herbal notes, refreshing citrus and the aromatic depth of gin.

Looking to try the ultimate espresso martini? The bar's “Alchemy” version featuring distilled coffee, hazelnut, orange and tonka bean will hit the spot. Meanwhile, tasty bar snacks including truffled arancini, sketch oysters and lobster buns are the perfect accompaniment to any of the Glade's toe-tapping tipples. Cheers!
