Scene on Bond: Get the Look for Spring
Whether sauntering past Dolce & Gabbana's vibrant windows or taking a front-row seat at Ralph's Coffee, Bond Street is the perfect spot to see who's wearing what. It also provides an opportunity to make a quick mental style-note to recreate any standout looks later.
Our Scene on Bond inspiration has expertly captured the current mood. And as the spring/summer 2026 collections start to add a much-needed boost of colour to luxury stores, why not take your cue from the everyday tastemakers, who, as well as stopping traffic, are already way ahead of the curve.
Monochrome
Chic monochrome looks have been out in force on Bond Street of late and are also reflected in many a designer's spring/summer 2026 collections. Leading the charge is Chanel, where its signature contrast of black and white is apparent in a series of newly considered pieces. Think black leather trousers and white organza blouses with exaggerated bows. For a beautiful ivory jacket to pair with black trousers or a longline pencil skirt, look to the house of Givenchy. Crafted from cotton and wool gabardine, the spring wardrobe essential is the work of Sarah Burton, the queen of precision tailoring. Elsewhere, all eyes were on Louise Trotter's debut menswear collection for Bottega Veneta, and the designer didn't disappoint. For spring, Trotter updated the classic Bottega trench in soft nappa leather, adding slouchy shoulders and oversized lapels.
Statement outerwear
Say goodbye to traditional herringbones and darker shades of grey and embrace this spring's muted colour palette and subdued print trend with a new longline coat. Cue Dior's double-breasted cotton, mohair and wool-blend coat, featuring a “Barocco” motif of flowers, butterflies and ornamental arabesques. For a more whimsical take on the winter version of the cropped faux-fur jacket, head to Bottega Veneta. Its fluffy Toscana shearling cropped blouson in a perky shade of petal adds an instant pop of colour – and fun – to the proceedings. Speaking of colour, with sherbet yellow permeating the spring collections, why stop with a fade-out on a coattail? A long leather trench will also go a long way this season, but rather than sticking with black, why not shake things up with a rich shade of chocolate, courtesy of Miu Miu's nappa leather coat.
Bags of room
The oversize tote bag is back, both on Bond Street's most stylish shoulders and in the spring/summer 2026 collections of Fendi, Dior and Loewe, to name but a few. Bigger, better and more accessible than ever before, follow the styling trick and carry all your worldy possessions around in style. Fendi's new “Peekaboo ISeeU” mahogany brown leather bag is lined with shimmering purple sequins, while at Louis Vuitton, signature monogram canvas is the material of choice on its latest edition of the Neverfull MM bag. The latter is so roomy you can fit your laptop, gym kit and other workday essentials inside without fear of having to leave anything behind.
Furry friends
And finally, don't forget your beloved four-legged friend, who will also appreciate a little bit of street-style inspiration this spring. Tails will be all a-wag as soon as they catch sight of Hermès's new quilted dog coat, fashioned from a waterproof breathable fabric in hot orange. Or for the country look, Burberry have nailed their dog coats. Walkies on Bond Street, anyone?
