As part of the Global COVID-19 relief effort, Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation is building on its long-standing collaboration with world-leading cancer centre,  The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity in London. The donation will enable The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust to purchase a specialist machine to test for COVID-19.

COVID-19 presents an especially challenging risk for people with cancer, who are often immunocompromised as a result of their treatment. The on-site testing will enable The Royal Marsden to find out sooner whether patients have the virus or not and ensure they are cared for in the appropriate environment, avoiding further transmission.

Additionally, testing will be rolled out to benefit other people with cancer and NHS frontline staff across London,  as part of a newly announced cancer hub in the capital. This specialised hub, set up to coordinate cancer care across London, is being led by The Royal Marsden, University College London Hospital and Guys and St Thomas’s Hospital, and is supported by local and independent hospitals.

Ralph Lauren will also donate 50,000 Ralph Lauren products, including pyjamas, T-shirts and other loungewear, for NHS staff across UK hospitals, in collaboration with Helpforce. ralphlauren.co.uk/feature/rl-donation
